Msaranga, Tanzania was the scene of Get’em in Gear’s biggest donation to date.  With the help of Ashley Lofranco, teacher at Michael Power/St. Joseph’s, the organization of Joey Renju, owner of Honey Badger Lodge and Milestone Safaris, and the generosity of MEI Academy, Get’em in Gear was able to distribute Get’em in Gear kits to students ranging in age from 5-13 who play twice a week as part of the Msaranga Football Club program.  Making the distribution extra special was the connection made by the Canadian students of MEI’s Summer Course in Tanzania and the local children. The impromptu game that broke out with the young Tanzanian players dawning their new gear showed how much the game of football brings together young people from all over the world.
